About the Position

We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Critical Care Physician for an exciting locum tenens position in a well-established acute care hospital setting. This role offers flexible PRN scheduling, a collaborative environment, and the opportunity to work alongside internal medicine residents in a dynamic ICU.

Position Overview

• Specialty: Critical Care
• Start Date: August 24, 2026
• Duration: Ongoing (13+ weeks)
• Schedule Type: PRN (as-needed coverage)
• Shifts Available:
  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Weekend Options:
    • 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM
    • 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM (swing shift)
• Coverage Type: Scheduled shifts (No Call)

Practice Setting

• Adult ICU environment
• 20-bed unit with an average daily census of 16–19 patients
• Reduced weekend census with shared attending coverage
• Supervision of Internal Medicine residents
• Opportunity to perform procedures when residents are unavailable
• EMR: Epic

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
• Supervise and collaborate with internal medicine residents
• Perform necessary procedures as required
• Ensure continuity and quality of patient care during assigned shifts

Requirements

• Board Certified in Critical Care
• Active Massachusetts medical license (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of Critical Care experience
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred

Additional Details

• Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days
• Local candidates only (no travel or lodging provided)
