About the Position

Emergency Medicine Physician

Location: Texas

Schedule: 12 hour shifts. 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. APP support 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Position Overview

• Provide emergency medicine physician coverage in a micro hospital emergency department with inpatient beds.
• Annual volume referenced as 23,600 with average encounters per day around 65.
• Emergency department beds referenced as 14 plus inpatient beds.
• Charting system: Cerner.
• Cross credentialing across affiliated sites may be required.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO.
• Active Texas medical license.
• DEA with Texas address and required schedules.
• Texas controlled substance registration as required.
• Board certification accepted: ABEM or AOBEM. ABIM or ABFM accepted with emergency medicine experience as required.
• If not emergency medicine boarded: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS.
• Case logs for the past two years as required by the site.
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.

Credentialing and Onboarding

• Estimated credentialing timeframe referenced as 61 to 90 days.
• Temporary privileges may be available for clean files based on site policy.
