About the Position

Physician – Rheumatology (Locum Tenens)

Start Date: ASAP (Target March 2026)
Duration: ~24 weeks (with potential extension)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Clinic hours between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Call: 1:3 weekend + rotating evening coverage
Setting: Outpatient

Position Overview

We are seeking a Locum Rheumatologist to provide outpatient clinic coverage in a well-established practice with strong specialty support. This is a long-term assignment with consistent patient volume and the potential for extension.

Practice Details

• Outpatient rheumatology clinic
• Team includes:
  • 2 Rheumatologists
  • 10+ Orthopedic providers
• No APP support
• EMR: EPIC

Patient Volume

• ~18 patients per day
• ~2,000 annual clinic visits

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts medical license (required)
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Rheumatology
• Recent supervisor reference required
• Flu vaccination required (no exceptions)
