About the Position

We are seeking a Pediatrician (Physician) for a locum opportunity in Vermont. This is a call-only position with a flexible schedule, offering a great work-life balance and the chance to focus on inpatient and newborn care.

📍 Location: Vermont
📅 Assignment Dates: June 19, 2026 – October 19, 2026
🕒 Schedule: Flexible | Call Coverage Only

🔹 Position Highlights:

• Call-only role with no outpatient or clinic responsibilities
• Primary weekday coverage: Thursday 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• 1 in 4 weekend call rotation (Thursday evening through Monday morning)
• 30-minute callback response requirement

🔹 Responsibilities:

• Newborn nursery coverage and routine newborn care
• Participation in high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation
• Management of common newborn conditions (jaundice, feeding issues, hypoglycemia)
• Stabilization and coordination for NICU transfers
• Pediatric consults in the Emergency Department
• Inpatient pediatric care (under 18)
• Participation in pediatric codes and emergency support
• Respond to pager calls (postpartum concerns, pediatric symptoms, etc.)

🔹 Call Volume:

• Average 0–5 calls per overnight shift
• Minimal admissions per provider annually
• Support in a facility with consistent delivery volume

🔹 Requirements:

• Board Certified/Eligible Pediatrician
• Active Vermont medical license
