About the Position

Job Title: Physician – Cardiothoracic Surgery (Locums)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon for an ongoing locums opportunity with a flexible weekend call schedule. This is a great opportunity for surgeons looking for consistent call coverage with strong support and manageable patient volume.

📅 Schedule & Coverage

• Start Date: May 10, 2026
• Contract: Ongoing
• Schedule: 3 weekends per month
• Shift: Friday 12 PM – Monday 7 AM
• Coverage: 24-hour on-call

🏥 Practice Details

• Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Support: APP support available
• EMR: Epic
• Patient Population: Adults (18+)
• Average Callback: 2–4 hours/day including rounding
• Cases: Urgent cardiac surgeries (no TAVRs)
• Workflow: Cath lab to OR; stable cases may wait until weekday

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active State License (or willingness to obtain)
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year experience preferred

⏱ Credentialing

• Approx. 90 days (temps available for clean files)
