About the Position

We are seeking a Non-Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens assignment providing inpatient cardiology coverage in an acute care hospital setting. This role focuses on consultative and diagnostic cardiology services for adult patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

Schedule Details:

• Monday–Sunday coverage
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• One-hour lunch (8 hours worked)
• Occasional weeknight call
• Weekend coverage as needed
• Coverage requirement: 1–2 weeks per month, including weekends as required

The cardiologist will manage a high-volume inpatient census and provide non-invasive procedural and interpretive services. Interventional and electrophysiology services are available onsite for escalation of care.

Primary responsibilities include direct patient care, diagnostic interpretation, inpatient consults, and collaboration with multidisciplinary cardiology teams.

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology (Board Certification preferred)
Active Pennsylvania Medical License
DEA required
ACLS and BLS certifications required

Experience with non-invasive cardiology procedures including:
Echocardiograms
Stress testing (including nuclear)
Holter monitoring
EKG interpretation
TEEs
Cardioversions

Ability to manage inpatient consults independently
Epic EMR experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
CTA reading certification preferred (not required)
