About the Position
We are seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a locum tenens opportunity in an acute care hospital setting. This role offers weekday-only coverage with no call responsibilities, providing flexibility and work-life balance.
CRNAs will independently manage anesthetic care from pre-operative assessment through PACU, supporting a wide range of surgical and procedural cases. Candidates must be comfortable practicing in both independent and supervised anesthesia models, including GI settings.
Schedule Details:
- Monday–Friday
- Flexible shifts: 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour options
- Start time: 7:00 AM, end time varies
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- No call required
Patient population includes ages 2 years and up. The role requires adaptability, rapid clinical decision-making, and strong anesthesia skills across a variety of cases, including OB and surgical procedures.
Requirements
NBCRNA certification required
Active Pennsylvania CRNA license
DEA and CSR required
ACLS certification required
Vaccinations required per facility policy
Strong experience with:
General anesthesia
Regional anesthesia (spinals, epidurals)
Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC)
Advanced airway management
Ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring
IV sedation and medication titration
Pain management techniques
Pre- and post-anesthesia care
C-sections and OB anesthesia
Management of anesthesia complications (e.g., malignant hyperthermia, hypotension)
Ability to quickly adapt to facility protocols
Epic EMR experience required
