About the Position

We are seeking an experienced, Board‑Certified Dentist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity providing hospital‑based dental care within an academically oriented dental medicine department. This role is ideal for clinicians interested in long‑term or permanent placement, though part‑time locum candidates will be considered to support department coverage needs.

The practice offers a broad scope of general dentistry in a collaborative, hospital‑based environment with established physician coverage.

Schedule Details:

  • Monday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Tuesday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Weekends: Not required
  • Weekly call required
    • Call rotation: 1 week every 4–5 weeks
    • 24/7 second call (residents serve as first call)

The provider will treat patients across all age groups, including pediatrics, though the majority of visits involve adult and geriatric patients.

Average daily volume exceeds 10 patients per day, supported by a team of five full‑time general dentists and a seven‑chair clinic.

Requirements

DDS degree from a U.S. CODA‑accredited dental school
International degrees or equivalents not accepted


Board Certified in Dentistry
Active Massachusetts Dental License (required)
Hospital‑based dentistry experience required
Strong academic orientation preferred


Proficient in a broad scope of general dentistry, including:
General restorative dentistry
Removable prosthodontics
Fixed prosthodontics
Endodontics (simple anterior and molar cases)
Oral surgery/extractions (simple and surgical; excluding impacted teeth)


Comfortable practicing independently in a hospital setting
Flu vaccination required (no waivers or exceptions accepted)
Epic (Wisdom) EMR experience preferred
