About the Position

Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon needed for a Level II Trauma Center providing inpatient coverage with a strong APP support team. This is a trauma-only role with no elective cases. The physician will serve as second call while APPs handle first call, with daily rounding, consults, and surgical cases as needed. Ideal candidates must be fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Trauma and comfortable managing high-acuity fracture cases including pelvis, hip, and long bone injuries.

• Dates Needed: June 12–22; July 29–August 17 (additional ongoing dates likely)
• Case Load/PPD: Avg 10 inpatients; 2–3 admissions/day; ~5 consults/day; 3–4 cases/day
• Shift Type: 24-Hour Call (6a–6a)
• Assignment Type: Inpatient / Trauma Coverage
• Procedures Required: Yes – full scope of orthopedic trauma (ORIF, IM nailing, fracture care, etc.)
• Call Required: Yes – 2nd call (APPs take 1st call)

Requirements:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship Required
• Active Pennsylvania License (required at time of submission)
• DEA Required

Additional Details:
• No elective cases
• APP support for first call and daily rounding
• EMR: Epic
• Trauma Level II facility
• Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days
