About the Position
We are seeking Pediatric Anesthesiologists for a locum tenens assignment providing weekday daytime anesthesia coverage in a Level I pediatric trauma environment. The physician will initially manage lower‑acuity, healthy pediatric cases with the opportunity to take on higher‑complexity cases as appropriate. Providers comfortable with pediatric cardiac anesthesia may have the option to participate in cath lab and EP cases. The anesthesia model includes a balance of solo cases and medically directed supervision (approximately 50/50). Epic EMR is used for documentation.
Shift Details:
- Day shifts Monday–Friday
- Typical schedule options: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Weekend daytime shifts (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) may be staffed if mutually agreed
- No call required initially; call responsibilities may be added once the provider is fully oriented
- Required skills include IV placement and pediatric regional techniques (preferred but not mandatory)
Coverage Dates / Schedule:
- Flexible start window between May and early July 2026
- Full‑time, part‑time, and PRN availability considered
- Ongoing coverage needs anticipated
- Cross‑credentialing required across multiple affiliated pediatric sites
Requirements
MD specializing in Pediatric Anesthesiology
Board Certified (Board Eligible candidates not accepted)
Completion of Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship required
Minimum of 2 years of post‑training experience
Active Florida medical license required
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Comfortable with pediatric anesthesia across a range of complexities
Florida resident candidates only
Must meet prior‑employment and geographic eligibility restrictions per client policy
Willingness to participate in a clinical interview with site leadership
Average credentialing timeframe approximately 90–120 days
