About the Position

🩺 Physician – Oncology/Hematology (Locum Opportunity)
📍 Minot, North Dakota

✨ Join a well-established outpatient oncology practice offering flexible locum coverage with strong clinical support and long-term potential. Ideal for physicians seeking a balanced case mix and predictable weekday schedule.

🌟 Position Overview:
• Coverage Dates: April 27 – May 1
• Ongoing: 1 week per month thereafter
• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-hour day shifts
• Practice Setting: Outpatient

🏥 Clinical Responsibilities:
• Manage a 50/50 mix of Oncology & Hematology cases
• See ~16 clinic patients per day
• Oversee ~30 infusion patients daily
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology team
• Ensure continuity of care and treatment planning

👩‍⚕️ Team & Support:
• Full-time Medical Oncologist on-site
• Dedicated Hem/Onc Nurse Practitioner
• 2 Radiation Oncologists available
• Experienced infusion and clinical support staff

💻 Systems & Workflow:
• Current EMR: Cerner
• Transitioning to Epic (Beacon) in Oct 2026
• Organized and efficient outpatient workflow

⏰ Call & Flexibility:
• No mandatory call
• Optional weekend coverage (1 weekend/month if interested)
• Consistent weekday schedule for work-life balance

Requirements

✅ Requirements:
• Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
• Active North Dakota license
• DEA (easily transferable)
• IMLC providers welcome
