About the Position

Join a collaborative healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner (Gastroenterology), providing advanced patient care across outpatient and inpatient settings. This role includes comprehensive assessments, diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and procedural support, with a welcoming environment for new graduates.

💰 Compensation: $135,000 – $150,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

• 🩺 Perform physical exams and obtain comprehensive medical histories
• 💊 Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• 📋 Develop and implement individualized care plans
• 🧪 Order and interpret lab tests and diagnostic imaging
• 🔬 Assist physicians with GI procedures (colonoscopies, endoscopies, conscious sedation)
• 💉 Manage medications and provide vaccinations
• 🗣️ Educate patients on disease prevention, nutrition, hygiene, and treatment plans
• 🤝 Collaborate with physicians, nutritionists, and specialists
• 📝 Maintain accurate and timely EMR/EHR documentation

Requirements

• 🎓 Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Family or Adult/Geriatric)
• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license
• National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC)

Preferred:

• GI experience (not required)
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems
• 🌐 Bilingual Spanish skills
