About the Position

Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematology/Oncology Physician for a full-time locum assignment in a rural community setting. The provider will manage adult oncology and hematology patients in both clinic and hospital settings, with support from APPs.

Shift Details:

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM clinic
• Weekend coverage: 2 weekends/month
• Night call: 10 nights/month (1:2 rotation)
• Average patient load: 15/day (60% hematology, 40% oncology)

Work Highlights:

• Clinic patients include all solid tumors and benign/malignant hematology
• Infusion center onsite with oncology-certified nurses; physician does not perform infusions
• Port access, bone marrow biopsies, and lumbar punctures not required
• Radiation oncology coordination required
• Tumor board participation through network system
• EMR: EPIC

Requirements

• BC or BE in Hematology/Oncology
• DEA required
• Willing to license or consider IMLC
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience
• Credentialing timeframe: 90 days; temporary placement available with clean file
