About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematology/Oncology Physician for a full-time locum tenens assignment covering clinic and hospital support. The role includes clinic patient care, inpatient/ED consultation, and weekend/night call on a rotation basis.

Shift Details:

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM clinic
• Weekend and night call: 1 week per month, both inpatient and phone coverage
• Average patient load: ~15/day (2 new, remainder follow-up/treatment)
• Adults only; no pediatric patients

Work Highlights:

• Clinic-based infusion/treatment support: chemotherapy, immunotherapy, IVIG, IV iron, and non-chemo injections
• Port access performed by RNs
• Radiation oncology coordination required
• Tumor board participation encouraged
• Support team includes NP and virtual hematologist
• EMR: Nuance dictation system

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology (double-boarded preferred)
• PA license preferred; willing to license or consider IMLC
• Fellowship completed
• Minimum experience flexible; both less and more experienced candidates considered
• Credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days
