About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified General Surgery Physician for a locum tenens assignment in New York providing in-hospital surgical coverage.

This role involves:

• 24-hour in-house call shifts, typically on weekends, up to one week at a time
• No outpatient clinic responsibilities; focus is inpatient surgical care
• Managing a wide range of general surgery cases across diverse patient populations
• EMR system used is Epic
• Exposure to hospital-based procedures, with robotic surgery experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Board-Certified in General Surgery
• Active medical license in New York required
• DEA registration required
• Broad general surgery acumen; robotic surgery experience preferred but not required
• Strong clinical judgment, procedural skill, and teamwork ability
