About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterology Physician or PA for a locum tenens assignment in New York providing inpatient and procedural gastroenterology coverage.

The role involves:

• Hospital rounding, consults, and OR participation performing 4–6 procedures daily
• Majority inpatient work with some outpatient procedures
• 24-hour call coverage Friday 5 PM – Friday 5 PM, 2–3 weeks per month
• Working closely with support staff and interdisciplinary teams in a hospital setting
• EMR system used is Epic

This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad hospital-based gastroenterology experience while supporting a busy procedural schedule.

Requirements

• Board-Certified (BC) or Board-Eligible (BE) in Gastroenterology
• Active New York medical license required
• DEA registration required
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience
• Proven skills in inpatient gastroenterology procedures (ERCP/EUS not required)
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient care skills
