About the Position

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania providing weekend coverage for a busy cardiac surgery service. This role involves rounding, urgent consults, and assisting with patient care from ICU to discharge, including support for vein harvesting procedures.

Shifts consist of Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM, covering 3 weekends per month. You will work collaboratively with surgical teams, APPs, and other clinical staff. EMR system used is Epic, and you will gain experience in acute cardiac surgery patient management.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with board certification
• Active Pennsylvania license required
• DEA license required
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in acute care or surgical setting
• Acute care certificate not required but experience in cardiac/ICU care preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for hospital-based cardiac surgery teams
