About the Position

Emergency Medicine Physician

Location: Louisiana

Schedule: Days and nights required. Shift times include 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Minimum of 3 shifts per block as referenced.

Position Overview

• Provide emergency medicine physician coverage in an emergency department setting.
• Annual volume referenced as approximately 28,415.
• No call as referenced.
• Charting system: Epic.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO.
• Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine as accepted by the site.
• Residency trained as required by the site.
• Active Louisiana medical license.
• DEA with Louisiana address.
• Louisiana controlled substance registration as required.
• ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS as required by the site.
• Case logs for the past two years as required by the site.
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.

Credentialing and Onboarding

• Privileging timeframe referenced as 30 to 60 days.
• Orientation, EMR training, and a shadow shift may be required.
