A highly rewarding locum tenens opportunity is available for an Interventional Cardiologist seeking flexible, block-style scheduling with a focus on 24-hour call coverage. This role offers a consistent monthly commitment of approximately one week plus one weekend, making it ideal for physicians looking for predictable yet flexible work.

You will provide comprehensive interventional cardiology services in a hospital setting, including management of acute cardiac conditions such as STEMIs. During weekends, the role expands to include general cardiology call coverage, offering a well-rounded clinical experience.

Weekday responsibilities include rounds and procedures, while weekend call typically involves moderate callback volumes, allowing for a manageable and structured workflow. The practice utilizes EPIC EMR, ensuring efficient documentation and coordination of care.

This position is well-suited for physicians who thrive in acute care environments and are comfortable handling both interventional and general cardiology responsibilities during call periods.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
  • Active Pennsylvania medical license (IMLC accepted)
  • DEA certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of interventional cardiology experience
  • Proven experience managing acute cardiac events, including STEMIs
  • Ability to provide both interventional and general cardiology coverage during call
