About the Position

Seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physician for a full-time locum tenens position in a busy clinical practice covering two hospital locations. The role primarily involves outpatient clinic care with some inpatient and ER consultations related to hematology and oncology.

Shift Details:

  • Clinic hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Call schedule includes weekend and night call rotation approximately 1 week per month
  • Call types include inpatient and phone consultations with 0-2 calls per day
  • Minimum coverage: 3 days/week, ideally full-time ongoing

Typical Workday:

  • Manage an average of 15 patients per day with a mix of new consults, follow-ups, and treatment visits
  • Participate as a supervising provider for urgent patient needs during some clinic sessions
  • Coordinate closely with nursing, virtual hematologists, and a supportive multidisciplinary team

✅ Qualifications

  • Board Certification: Double board certification in Hematology & Oncology preferred
  • Fellowship training required
  • PA medical license preferred; willingness to license or consider Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
  • Experience level flexible; both less experienced and seasoned physicians considered
  • Comfortable managing typical hematology/oncology cases including lung, breast, prostate, colorectal cancers, and some hematologic conditions
  • Experience with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, IVIG, and related treatments preferred
