About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Otolaryngology (ENT) Physician for a locum tenens opportunity providing 24-hour call coverage in a high-acuity hospital setting. This role offers ongoing weekly coverage blocks, making it ideal for physicians seeking consistent locum work with flexibility.
The physician will provide comprehensive ENT care across a Level 1 Trauma Center, managing a wide range of cases for patients of all ages. The position includes both inpatient consults and emergency response, with manageable callback volumes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 24-hour call coverage (7a–7a) for ENT services
- Evaluating and managing trauma and emergency ENT cases
- Performing surgical and procedural interventions as needed
- Responding to consults and inpatient rounding
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including surgical and support staff
- Documenting all patient care using EPIC EMR
This role typically involves 4–6 hours of callback per day, allowing for a balanced workload while maintaining high-quality patient care.
✅ Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Medical License (or willingness to obtain)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology (ENT)
- DEA certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent ENT experience
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Ability to manage a wide range of ENT cases, including trauma
- Strong clinical and communication skills
