About the Position

A leading healthcare system in Columbus, OH is seeking two full-time, academically driven OB/GYN Hospitalists to join a growing team. This role offers a unique blend of clinical practice and teaching, providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecologic care across multiple hospital sites with a strong emphasis on resident education and high-risk pregnancy management.

Physicians will provide in-house coverage on Labor & Delivery, supervise residents, and manage both routine and complex obstetrical cases. Responsibilities include performing gynecologic surgeries such as hysterectomies, managing high-risk pregnancies, and participating in emergency obstetrical care.

The position follows a structured schedule of 12-hour shifts covering both days and nights, including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. Providers will collaborate closely with Graduate Medical Education teams, contribute to curriculum development, and support continuous improvement in patient care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience (strong new graduates considered)
  • Active Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain
  • DEA certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Clean malpractice and license history
  • Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required
  • Willingness to rotate across multiple hospital sites
  • Strong interest in academic medicine, resident education, and high-risk obstetrics
  • Not accepting locum, 1099, or visa candidates
  • Candidates with lapsed Board Certification will not be accepted
