About the Position
A well-established private anesthesia practice in Albany, NY, is seeking full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologists. Candidates must be ECHO Board Certified and/or have completed a Cardiac Fellowship. The practice supports a high-volume inpatient heart center with 30 operating rooms and provides anesthesia care for cardiac surgical procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and other complex surgeries.
The role requires coverage across hospital campuses in Albany and Troy, NY, with a variable schedule including 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts. On-call rotation is 1:5 with first call every eighth night and no second call. Cases are exclusively cardiac and vascular—no OB or trauma. Collaboration with cardiac surgeons, nurses, and healthcare professionals is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (within 5 years of eligibility)
- ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained (required prior to start)
- NY Medical License or willingness to obtain
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications by start date
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Open to H-1B visa candidates (no J-1 waivers)
- Not accepting locum tenens candidates
- Candidates with lapsed Board Certification will not be accepted
