About the Position

🩺 Job Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Obstetrics & Gynecology physician for a locum tenens assignment providing inpatient and on-call coverage. This role involves managing labor and delivery, operative procedures, and gynecologic surgeries in a hospital setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including:
  • Spontaneous vaginal deliveries (SVD)
  • Operative vaginal deliveries (forceps or vacuum)
  • Vaginal delivery repairs
  • Cesarean sections
  • Infant male circumcisions
  • D&C/D&E procedures
  • Laparoscopic, robotic, and abdominal gynecologic surgeries
• Manage pre- and post-procedure patient care
• Collaborate with RNs, anesthesiologists, CNAs, and other support staff
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital policies
• Document all encounters accurately in EPIC EMR

Patient Population: Pediatrics and adults, including acutely ill patients

Shift Details:

• 24-hour call coverage (first call), alternating day/night shifts as scheduled
• Patient load: approximately 15–20 patients per day

Requirements

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active New York medical license
• Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in OB/GYN
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
• Experience with EPIC EMR
