About the Position

A well-established hospital in Troy, NY, is seeking full-time Nocturnists to join a directly employed hospital medicine program. This role offers a physician-friendly environment with excellent colleagues, strong system support, and flexible scheduling.

Nocturnists manage overnight patient care with no ICU responsibilities; ICU cases are managed separately. The shifts are 12 hours long (7:00 pm – 7:00 am) on a 7 on/7 off schedule. The average patient census is 15–18 per physician each night. Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are part of the care team.

New graduates working toward Board Certification (2026) as well as experienced physicians are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible (within 5 years working toward Board Certification) or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active or willing to obtain New York State medical license
• DEA certification or willingness to obtain
• Clean malpractice and license history preferred
• Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required
• Not accepting locum tenens or visa candidates
• Candidates with lapsed Board Certification will not be accepted
