About the Position

A locum tenens opportunity is available in Lebanon, PA for a Physician Assistant to support a cardiac surgery service in a hospital setting. The role focuses on managing post-operative and inpatient cardiac patients, with responsibilities including rounding, assisting with urgent surgical cases, and supporting care from ICU to discharge.

You will work alongside surgeons and APPs in a collaborative cardiac care environment, handling cases such as vein harvesting and acute cardiac surgical support, with surgeon backup available as needed. This role involves high-acuity care and consistent weekend coverage within a structured hospital system using EPIC EMR.

Shift Timings:

• Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
• 24-hour call coverage
• 3 weekends per month
• Average callback/rounding: ~4 hours per day

Requirements

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA)
• Active Pennsylvania License
• DEA Certification required
• Minimum 3 years of experience
