About the Position

A locum tenens opportunity is available in Chambersburg, PA for a General Surgery Physician to provide 24-hour call coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role focuses on inpatient surgical care, emergency consults, and a wide range of general surgical procedures, with no outpatient clinic responsibilities.

You will be responsible for managing acute surgical cases across diverse patient populations, utilizing EPIC EMR within a mid-sized hospital environment. The position requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to handle broad general surgery cases independently, with robotic surgery experience considered a plus.

Shift Timings:

• 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• 1 week at a time
• Ongoing coverage (minimum 6 months)

Requirements

• Board Certified in General Surgery
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License
• DEA Certification required
• Broad general surgery experience required
