About the Position

A hospital-based locum tenens opportunity is available in Chambersburg, PA for a Gastroenterology Physician to provide inpatient care, GI procedures, and call coverage. The role includes managing adult patients, performing endoscopic procedures, and responding to consults in a collaborative hospital setting with in-house anesthesia support.

This position offers a structured weekly schedule combining daytime hospital coverage with overnight call responsibilities, with exposure to a range of GI cases. ERCP experience is preferred, and the facility utilizes EPIC EMR to support efficient workflow and patient care.

Shift Timings:

• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM hospital coverage (Monday–Thursday)
• Friday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM (hospital) + overnight call
• Weekend: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (hospital) + overnight call
• Overnight call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Coverage: 2 weeks per month

Requirements

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License
• DEA Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• ERCP experience preferred
