About the Position

A leading healthcare organization in the Albany and Troy, New York region is expanding its cardiology team and seeking a dedicated Non-Invasive Cardiologist to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. This is a dynamic opportunity offering flexible scheduling models and the ability to tailor your practice to your preferred work style.

Physicians can choose from multiple practice options, including weekend rounding only, a traditional mix of hospital and clinic responsibilities, or a hospital-only shift-based role. The position involves delivering high-quality cardiology care through hospital rounds, outpatient visits, and periodic walk-in clinic coverage.

You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary cardiology team across multiple sites, ensuring coordinated and patient-centered care. The role includes managing a moderate patient volume in both clinic and inpatient settings, supported by strong infrastructure and an established EMR system.

Call responsibilities are shared on a 1:5 weekend rotation and are primarily telephone-based with occasional in-person coverage. This position offers an excellent balance of clinical variety, flexibility, and professional growth within a collegial and team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Internal Medicine

    • Must obtain Board Certification within 2 years if eligible

  • Fellowship-trained in Cardiology (completed prior to start)
  • Active New York medical license (or willingness to obtain)
  • Clean malpractice history required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and DEA certifications required
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required
  • Willingness to work across multiple locations within the region
  • Open to 2026 graduating fellows (not open to 2027 fellows)
  • Not accepting locum or visa candidates
  • Open to 1099 candidates
  • Not open to candidates with lapsed board certification
