About the Position

A leading healthcare organization in Muskegon, Michigan is seeking a full-time or part-time Anesthesiologist to join a highly collaborative and experienced anesthesia team. This position offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work within a modern, high-acuity clinical environment.

The practice follows a care team model, where physicians provide medical direction to CRNAs while also having opportunities to personally perform anesthesia. The facility is a Level II trauma center with advanced surgical capabilities, including multiple operating rooms, specialized cardiac and vascular suites, endoscopy units, and dedicated obstetric operating rooms.

Providers will work across a broad spectrum of general and complex cases, including orthopedics (elective and trauma), gynecology, ENT, vascular, neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic procedures, and radiology-based anesthesia. There is also a robust obstetrics program with frequent epidural opportunities.

The team emphasizes quality improvement and efficiency, including participation in a Surgical Optimization program designed to enhance patient outcomes. Physicians will also utilize and further develop skills in regional anesthesia techniques, including a variety of peripheral nerve blocks, with training available if needed.

Scheduling is flexible, with full-time defined as approximately 2200 hours annually, inclusive of various shift types and shared call responsibilities. The team rotates holidays and weekends equitably, allowing for balance and flexibility. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

    • Board Eligible candidates must become certified within 2 years

  • Active Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain)
  • DEA certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • ACLS and BLS certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required
  • Interest in full-time or part-time employment (must specify)
  • Strong clinical and teamwork skills
  • Open to new graduates
