About the Position
A well-established healthcare organization is seeking a skilled and compassionate Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician to join a regional team providing care across West Michigan. This full-time opportunity offers a dynamic and collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional care to patients with high-risk pregnancies.
The physician will provide specialized care in Maternal Fetal Medicine, managing complex maternal and fetal conditions while working closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists. This role also serves as a key referral resource, helping to coordinate and implement comprehensive care plans.
The position is primarily based in Grand Rapids with some travel to nearby locations as needed. Providers benefit from strong clinical support, including dedicated medical assistants, sonographers, and additional staff at all sites.
Call responsibilities are shared with an experienced MFM partner/Medical Director and are primarily phone-based, with occasional in-person hospital support when needed. The role also includes opportunities to participate in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.
This opportunity is open to experienced board-certified physicians as well as truly board-eligible candidates who are committed to obtaining certification within the required timeframe.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in OB/GYN (required)
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine

Board Eligible candidates must obtain certification within 2 years

- Active Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain)
- DEA certification (or willingness to obtain)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Clean malpractice history preferred
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required
- Not open to candidates with lapsed board certification
- Not accepting locum candidates
- Open to H1B visa candidates (J1 waivers not accepted)
