About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Medical Director to lead and grow a regional high-risk obstetrics program. This is a unique leadership opportunity to shape clinical strategy, enhance patient outcomes, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a mission-driven environment.
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Maternal Fetal Medicine service line
- Deliver comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancies, including diagnostic, consultative, and management services
- Collaborate closely with OB/GYNs, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
- Partner with administrative and clinical leadership in a dyad model to drive program success
- Lead program development initiatives focused on quality, service excellence, and operational growth
- Oversee performance metrics including clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and financial stewardship
- Mentor and educate medical students, residents, and clinical staff
- Foster a collaborative, team-based environment focused on innovation and continuous improvement
Qualification:
- Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology (required)
- Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine (required)
- Active Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain)
- DEA certification (or ability to obtain)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of 5 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine practice experience (excluding training)
- Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience or formal leadership training (preferred)
- Strong clinical expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies
- Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Clean malpractice history preferred
- H1B visa candidates accepted (J1 waiver not accepted)
