🩺 Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Surgery Locum Opportunity

📍 Location: New York (NY)
🏥 Setting: Acute Care Hospital

We are seeking a skilled NP/PA for a Surgical Locum opportunity with a mix of OR First Assist and Surgical Floor coverage. Great short-term summer coverage with potential for extension!

📅 Schedule Highlights:
• Flexible blocks: June, July & August coverage
• August priority dates: 8/6–8/8 & 8/21–8/28
• Shift options: 3x12s, 4x10s, or 5x8s
• Optional call:
– Weekends: Fri 5p – Mon 7a
– Weeknights: 5p – 7a (approx. 4 shifts/month)
• Weekend rounding: 8a–12p

👥 Practice Details:
• Patient Population: Adults
• Supportive team with anesthesia & nursing staff
• EMR: EPIC

Requirements

💼 Role & Responsibilities:
• Surgical First Assist in OR + Floor coverage
• Rounding, consults, discharges & patient management
• Work across General Surgery, OB/GYN & Orthopedics
• Procedures include suturing, wound care, hemostasis, assisting in surgeries
