About the Position

A locum Physician role is available in York, PA, within a large hospital-based surgical services department providing cardiac anesthesiology coverage across a high-acuity surgical environment. The physician will be responsible for administering anesthesia for cardiac and general surgical cases, collaborating closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure safe and effective perioperative care.

This role involves working across a diverse case mix in a Level I trauma environment, managing patients of all ages, and contributing to high-quality, patient-centered surgical care. The setting utilizes EPIC EMR, with exposure to complex and high-risk cardiac procedures, supporting a broad range of operative and procedural services.

Shift Timings:

• Weekday shifts:
  • 6:15 AM – 4:45 PM
  • 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Shift length: 10-hour shifts
• Schedule: 4–5 shifts per week
• Coverage: Full-time (approximately 1 week per month)

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License
• ACLS and PALS Certifications (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
