About the Position

A locum Physician role is available in Lancaster, PA, providing hospital-based interventional cardiology coverage with responsibilities across both interventional and general cardiology services during call periods. The physician will manage adult patients in an acute care setting, handling STEMI cases, cardiac interventions, and inpatient consults, with additional coverage of general cardiology call on weekends.

This role includes overseeing procedures and inpatient care, responding to urgent cardiac cases, and participating in rounding and interventions as needed. The setting utilizes EPIC EMR, with an emphasis on acute cardiac care, procedural readiness, and multidisciplinary collaboration within a hospital environment.

Shift Timings:

• 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• Schedule:
  • May 22 – May 26 (7 days continuous)
  • 1 week + 1 weekend per month ongoing
• Call coverage:
  • ~3 hours/day (Sat–Sun)
  • ~8 hours/day (weekdays) for rounds & procedures

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License (or IMLC eligible)
• DEA License (Required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Experience with STEMI and interventional procedures required
