About the Position

A well-established healthcare practice in Clinton is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematologist/Medical Oncologist for a full-time, permanent position. This role offers a mix of Hematology (30%) and Medical Oncology (70%) in a hospital-attached practice serving adult and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for hematology and oncology patients
• Average daily patient census of 30, with new patient visits scheduled for 30 minutes and follow-ups for 15 minutes
• Minimal after-hours phone call coverage
• Collaborate with four RNs, MA, CNA, and receptionist support; hospitalists available for infusion coverage
• Onsite Radiation Oncology available through University of Iowa outreach
• Access to full ancillary services in a professionally managed, state-of-the-art facility
• Work with a strong primary care referral network ensuring consistent patient volume
• Support practice growth toward Commission on Cancer (COC) accreditation

Qualification

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology (Required)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology (Required)
• Active Iowa medical license or willingness to obtain (Required)
• Clean malpractice history (Preferred)
• Most recent NPDB Self-Query report (within 30 days) (Required)
• Not accepting Locums or visa candidates
