About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a hospital-based surgical role in Potsdam, NY, providing a combination of first assist in the OR and medical-surgical floor coverage. Responsibilities include assisting in surgical procedures, wound management, suturing, hemostasis, and patient positioning, along with rounding, consults, order management, and discharges.

This role involves working with general surgery, OB/GYN, and orthopedic cases in an acute care inpatient setting, requiring strong collaboration and clinical expertise in managing adult patients with diverse medical conditions.

Shift Timings:
• Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Flexible schedule: 3x12s / 4x10s / 5x8s
• Weekday call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM (as needed)
• Weekend call: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
• Weekend rounding: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Requirements

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – REQUIRED
• Active New York License – REQUIRED
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS Certifications – REQUIRED
• Minimum 2 years recent experience – REQUIRED
• Epic EMR experience – REQUIRED
