About the Position
A respected healthcare organization in Boise is seeking a full-time Medical Physicist to join its Radiation Oncology team. This is a permanent, day-shift opportunity within a collaborative, mission-driven environment that emphasizes clinical excellence, innovation, and professional growth.
The Medical Physicist will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, accuracy, and quality of radiation therapy services. Responsibilities include equipment calibration, radiation measurement verification, and oversight of treatment procedures, including brachytherapy. The role also involves participation in quality assurance initiatives, chart reviews, and regulatory compliance activities.

Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy of radiation measurements and maintain detailed records
- Oversee safe and effective brachytherapy procedures
- Perform commissioning and calibration of radiation equipment
- Participate in chart reviews and departmental quality initiatives
- Contribute to regulatory compliance, safety committees, and policy development
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Medical Physics (Required)
- Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology (Required)
- Successful completion of ABR Part I & II, with full certification within 3 years (Required)
- Minimum one year of experience in a cancer treatment setting (Required)
- Experience in Varian treatment environment (Highly Preferred)
- Experience with external beam treatment planning (SRS, SBRT, IMRT, 3DCRT) (Preferred)
- Experience with brachytherapy treatment planning (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Sun Nuclear QA devices (Highly Preferred)
- Experience with 4D CT, gated therapy, and Vision RT/OSMS (Highly Preferred)
