About the Position

A hospital-based opportunity in Des Moines is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for a locum-to-permanent position starting October 2025. This role is ideal for providers interested in transitioning into a long-term position while maintaining a strong procedural focus.

The position involves 24-hour call coverage (7 AM – 7 AM) with a mix of inpatient responsibilities, outpatient procedures, and consults. Providers will perform approximately 3–4 outpatient procedures per day in addition to inpatient work, focusing on adult patients.

Qualification

  • Must be interested in a locum-to-permanent position (Required)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3 years of residency (Required)
  • Active Iowa License or IMLC (Required)
  • ACLS Certification (Required)
  • ERCP proficiency (Required)
  • EUS experience (Highly Preferred)
  • Willingness to work inpatient setting (Required)
  • COVID vaccination (Required)
  • Clean malpractice and background history (Required)
  • Current NPDB Self-Query report (Required)
