About the Position
A leading cancer center in Muskegon is seeking Radiation Oncologists for full-time locum tenens coverage beginning in early 2026. This opportunity offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with shared call responsibilities, making it ideal for physicians looking for stability in a locum role.
Providers will work in a free-standing cancer center alongside another Radiation Oncologist and a dedicated NP, sharing patient volume while supporting comprehensive cancer care. The role includes consults, treatment planning, on-treatment management, and minor procedures.
Key Highlights:
- Full-time, ongoing coverage (weekly schedule)
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Shared 24-hour call (1:2 ratio)
- Collaborative environment with physician and NP support
- Average 10–15 outpatient visits per day
- Adult patient population
- EMR systems: Aria & Epic
Scope of Practice Includes:
- Conventional and advanced radiotherapy techniques
- External Beam Radiation (3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT)
- Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
- Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
- Fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy
- Ordering tests, imaging, and prescribing treatments
Qualification
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology (Required)
- Active Michigan License or IMLC/LOQ (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Clean malpractice and background history (Required)
- Recent NPDB Self-Query report (Required)
- Availability for full-time, ongoing coverage (Required)
