Hours: Day shifts (7a–5p) with optional call coverage

we are seeking a Hospitalist NP to provide comprehensive patient care in the General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic units. This role includes a mix of Surgical First Assist, Operating Room, and Medical-Surgical Floor coverage.

🩺 Responsibilities

• Surgical first assist and OR support (General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics)
• Medical-surgical floor coverage: rounding, progress notes, orders, discharges, consults
• Assist in hemostasis, wound management, suturing, and patient positioning
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff
• Ensure quality, safe patient care at all times

⏰ Schedule Overview

• 8/6–8/8: 3x12-hour shifts
• 8/21–8/28: Flexible – 5x8, 4x10, or 3x12s
• Optional call:
  • Weekends: Friday 5p – Monday 7a; Sat-Sun 8a–12p
  • Weeknights: 4 shifts/mo, 5p–7a

👩‍⚕️ Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner (or PA) with experience in hospitalist or surgical support
• NY License in hand
• Epic EMR experience required
• AHA BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years recent relevant experience
• Strong written and verbal communication
