About the Position

An excellent locum opportunity for a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician is available in New York. This assignment offers 24-hour call coverage with scheduled coverage blocks and the opportunity to work in a well-supported hospital environment.

This role is ideal for physicians experienced in both obstetrics and gynecologic procedures who are looking for flexible locum coverage with a collaborative clinical team.

📍 Position Highlights

• Start Date: April 2026
• Assignment Length: Approximately 8 weeks
• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage
• Shift Options: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Emergency privileges available for qualified providers

📅 Coverage Blocks

Preferred coverage dates include:

• Apr 6 – Apr 12
• Apr 13 – Apr 16
• May 1 – May 3
• May 14 – May 17
• May 18 – May 24

(Facility prefers full coverage of these blocks but may consider partial availability.)

🏥 Practice Environment

• Acute care hospital setting
• Approximately 94 beds
• Average daily patient census: 0–10 patients
• Dedicated clinical support including:
 • Registered Nurses
 • Certified Nursing Assistants
 • Clerks
 • On-call anesthesiology support

🔎 Clinical Responsibilities

Providers will perform a variety of obstetric and gynecologic procedures, including:

• Spontaneous vaginal deliveries (SVD)
• Operative vaginal deliveries (forceps or vacuum)
• Vaginal delivery repair
• Cesarean sections
• Infant male circumcisions
• Dilation and Curettage (D&C) / Dilation and Evacuation (D&E)
• Laparoscopic, robotic, and abdominal gynecologic surgeries

✔ Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active New York medical license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent OB/GYN experience
• Epic EMR experience required
