About the Position

A Pain Management Physician is needed for a locum assignment in New York beginning in April 2026. This opportunity is ideal for an interventional pain specialist who enjoys working in an outpatient ambulatory setting with a supportive clinical team.

📍 Position Overview

• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• Assignment Length: 26 weeks
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Call: Office call only after hours and weekends
• Practice Setting: Outpatient Pain Management Clinic

Providers may also float between the ambulatory clinic and procedure space as needed.

• Ambulatory clinic setting
• Dedicated support staff including LPN and clinic secretary
• Structured weekday schedule with no hospital call requirements
• Epic EMR system

🔎 Procedures Performed

The provider should be comfortable performing a variety of interventional pain procedures, including:

• Epidural steroid injections (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
• Medial branch blocks
• Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
• Peripheral nerve blocks
• Trigger point injections
• Sacroiliac joint injections
• Spinal cord stimulator trials
• Genicular nerve blocks and RFA
• Intercostal nerve blocks
• Piriformis injections

✔ Requirements

• Board Certified in Pain Management
• Active New York medical license
• BLS certification required
• 1–2 years of experience post-fellowship
• Fellowship training in interventional pain medicine
• Epic EMR experience preferred
