The physician will provide specialized consultations, guide evidence-based treatment strategies, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections
• Provide inpatient and outpatient infectious disease consultations
• Support and lead infection prevention and control initiatives
• Guide antimicrobial stewardship programs and appropriate antibiotic use
• Manage complex infectious disease cases and treatment plans
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and specialty teams for coordinated care
• Maintain accurate documentation and support quality improvement efforts
Qualifications
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease
• Eligibility for Ohio medical licensure
• Strong expertise in infectious disease diagnostics and treatment
• Commitment to evidence-based care and patient safety initiatives
