🏥 Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician (MD/DO) for a locum opportunity in Minot, North Dakota. This assignment is primarily outpatient-based, providing comprehensive care for oncology and hematology patients in a well-supported cancer program.

The provider will work alongside a collaborative team of specialists managing both medical oncology and hematology cases, offering continuity of care for cancer patients.

👨‍⚕️ Eligible Provider

✔️ MD / DO – Hematology & Oncology
✔️ Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology
✔️ Active North Dakota License required (IMLC providers considered)
✔️ DEA required (easily transferable)

🔎 Key Responsibilities

🧬 Evaluate and treat patients with hematologic disorders and cancers
📋 Develop and manage chemotherapy and oncology treatment plans
💉 Oversee infusion therapy patients and oncology care coordination
📊 Monitor patient response to treatments and adjust plans accordingly
🤝 Collaborate with oncology specialists and multidisciplinary care teams
💻 Document patient care within the facility’s EMR system

🏥 Practice Environment

🏥 Outpatient Oncology Clinic

👨‍⚕️ On-site Team Includes:
• 1 Full-Time Hematology/Oncology Physician
• 1 Full-Time Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner
• 2 Radiation Oncologists

👥 Daily Patient Volume
• Clinic Patients: ~16 per day
• Infusion Patients: ~30 per day

💻 Current EMR: Cerner
🔄 Future EMR Transition: Epic (Beacon) planned for October 2026

📅 Schedule & Coverage

🕒 Monday – Friday | 8-Hour Day Shifts

📆 Initial Coverage Dates:
• March 30 – April 3, 2026
• April 27 – May 1, 2026

📅 Ongoing Need:
• One week per month coverage

📞 Call: Not required
🌙 Optional Weekend Call: Available once per month if desired

🩺 Patient Population

👨‍⚕️ Adult patients requiring oncology and hematology evaluation, treatment, and ongoing cancer care.

⚖️ Case Mix:
• 50% Oncology
• 50% Hematology

💰 Compensation

✈️ Travel & Lodging: Fully covered by the facility

⚠️ Important Requirements

📑 Active North Dakota medical license required
💉 DEA registration required
🩺 Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology
💻 Ability to work with Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic)
