About the Position

An exciting night shift opportunity for a Physician Assistant with transplant experience is available in New York. This position offers a consistent schedule in a fast-paced inpatient environment, working alongside a dedicated transplant care team.

This role is ideal for experienced providers who enjoy managing complex patients and contributing to critical pre-operative care.

📍 Position Highlights

• Schedule: 3 Night Shifts per Week
• Shift Hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Practice Setting: Inpatient
• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days
• EMR System: Epic

🏥 Role Overview

The Physician Assistant will provide overnight coverage for transplant patients, ensuring continuity of care and supporting the transplant team with admissions and pre-operative preparation.

🔎 Key Responsibilities

• Round on inpatient transplant patients
• Perform patient evaluations and examinations
• Complete documentation including H&P and event notes
• Update handoff information and provide verbal handoff to the day PA
• Admit transplant candidates arriving overnight
• Conduct pre-operative evaluations and workups for transplant procedures
• Collaborate closely with the transplant care team to ensure coordinated patient care

✔ Requirements

• Active New York Physician Assistant license
• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient transplant experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience working with Epic EMR preferred
