About the Position

A Locum Transplant Physician Assistant opportunity is available in New York, NY, supporting a specialized inpatient transplant unit within a leading academic medical environment. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care while working closely with the transplant team to ensure effective evaluation and management of transplant candidates and post-operative patients.

Responsibilities include rounding on patients, conducting physical examinations, completing H&P and event documentation, updating clinical handoffs, and delivering verbal handoff reports to the day team. The provider will also assist with admitting transplant patients overnight and performing pre-operative evaluations for transplant candidates, ensuring continuity of care in a high-acuity inpatient setting.

Shift Timings:

• Overnight shifts

• 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

• 3 shifts per week

Requirements

• Active New York Physician Assistant License

• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Inpatient Transplant Experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification

• Experience with Epic EMR
