About the Position

Immediate locum coverage needed for an experienced Gastroenterologist to provide 24-hour hospital call coverage. This short-term assignment is high-priority and ideal for a provider ready to step in, manage adult inpatient cases, and perform advanced procedures in a fast-paced environment.

• Hospital-focused coverage; no clinic responsibilities

• 24-hour weekend call (7 AM–7 AM)

• High procedural volume including colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, liver biopsy, sigmoidoscopy, and esophageal interventions

• EMR: Epic for smooth documentation

• Average of 8 procedures per weekend

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology

• Active Virginia medical license

• ERCP certification required

• Clean malpractice and background history

• Vaccinations: Flu (required), COVID (highly preferred)
