About the Position

Immediate locum coverage needed for an experienced, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to provide inpatient and call coverage at two top-tier hospitals in Waterloo and Cedar Falls, IA. This is a high-priority, short-term opportunity to step in, lead critical patient care, and gain experience across a dynamic practice setting.

• Inpatient and on-call coverage only; no clinic responsibilities

• Work with a collaborative surgical team across two facilities

• Average daily patient census: 10–20 cases

• EMR: Epic Enterprise for seamless documentation and workflow

• Procedures include management of trauma, spine, extremity injuries, degenerative and acute orthopedic conditions

Requirements

• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery

• Fellowship Trained (Orthopedic Surgery)

• Active IA license or participation in IMLC

• Experienced in inpatient and call coverage

• Clean malpractice and background history

• Must be able to cover the assigned locum blocks

• Assignment Dates:

  1. Wednesday, August 5, 7 AM – Monday, August 10, 7 AM

  2. Monday, October 26, 7 AM – Friday, November 6, 7 AM
