About the Position
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Radiologist for a locum remote coverage opportunity supporting emergency department imaging services. This assignment focuses on high-volume diagnostic reads across multiple facilities, offering a fast-paced environment ideal for physicians experienced in emergency radiology workflows.
The role includes overnight, swing, and weekend shifts, with typical coverage hours such as Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM, along with other varied scheduling options. Radiologists will provide diagnostic interpretation for a wide range of imaging modalities while supporting emergency department clinicians with timely reporting.
Providers will read imaging studies across several modalities including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine, with a primary focus on emergency department cases. The case mix includes ER imaging, musculoskeletal cases, and neurological imaging, requiring strong diagnostic skills and efficiency in high-volume reading environments.
The assignment requires experience interpreting stroke and perfusion studies, along with the ability to read all CT studies except CT cardiac scans. This is an excellent opportunity for radiologists comfortable working remotely in a high-performance diagnostic environment.
Requirements
Board Certified Radiologist
• Active North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania medical licenses required
• DEA registration required
• Most recent NPDB Self-Query Report dated within 30 days required at submission
• Ability to interpret stroke and perfusion imaging
• Must be able to read all CT studies excluding CT cardiac
• Experience interpreting multiple imaging modalities including XR, CT, MR, US, and Nuclear Medicine
• Ability to manage high-volume emergency department imaging workloads
